So I hope I haven't goofed up, but at least my computer is presently working. Last night, the computer just kinda crashed on me. I was lying in bed trying to get it to work, and it froze, so upon reboot, after presenting the 'Compaq' Logo and beginning to boot up XP, it flashed a quick blue screen and began to reboot again. After continually trying, I gave up and went to bed. The same thing occurred this morning...it just wouldn't boot up. With all of that said, I got a bit frustrated and found an older version of XP (2001-ish) and have set it up which is what I am actually able to use now. (It's amazing to see what six to eight years in technology can produce, as I feel like I am using an old piece of junk right now...)
Thus, I am accessing a basic computer now with outdated material and it doesn't even have a wireless access to it. So now to my question...how to I restore everything to the previous case and fix my problem I had. I had to be able to access internet, thus I have the old windows XP, but the computer still has all of the old files on it, somewhere, hidden. How do I delete the current Windows XP and access the old computer and overcome the bug that occurred last night. I'll be checking all day, so any information needed can be answered ASAP.
